Teaser Tuesdays: The Man from Primrose Lane

"Sackett called him the Man with the Thousand Mittens because the old hermit always wore mittens, even in the middle of July. He doubted most people had noticed the old man wore different mittens every time he stepped out of his ramshackle house."
p.6, "The Man from Primrose Lane"  James Renner

I haven't started reading the book yet but I learned last week that Bradley Cooper is going to star in the film version of the book so I'm  planning to do so. What do you think of the teaser?

This teaser from The Man from Primrose Lane is part of this weeks Teaser Tuesdays meme hosted by Ms B at Should Be Reading. Grab a book and play along.

  2. This sounds creepy. Is Cooper going to be the guy with the mittens? What's he hiding? How many pairs of mittens does he have? Here's Mine

  4. It IS a creepy cover isn't it? Take heart cuz with Bradley Cooper starring at least ya know the poster won't have that head on it!
Paulita, your 'how many pairs of mittens does he have' questions remind me of the SNL skit on 'undecided voters'. AND BE SPECIFIC!
    Anyway ...
The good news is he's the detective trying to find a serial killer. He is not the guy with the mittens. I wonder how many pairs Bradley Cooper does own, LOL.
The bad news is that there is a, shall we say, 'creepy' connection between him and the killings.

  5. I can't see this book without thinking of The Children of Primrose Lane which was one of my favourite books as a child. I can't remember what it was about now, but I suspect that they may not be related...

    1. I have a feeling you're right - this one is far too 'creepy' (we've all agreed) to be anywhere near the childrens' section.
